We are excited to announce that Leslie Martin Kinkade has joined Special Olympics Washington as our new Vice President of Development!

Leslie’s extensive track record showcases her dedication to community service, evident through her impressive career in development across diverse organizations. These include the Tacoma Art Museum and Alpha Supported Living Services (an affiliated organization of Special Olympics Washington that offers housing to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities). Furthermore, her 30-year commitment to Special Olympics Washington as a passionate volunteer and coach speaks volumes about her passion for our mission.

Along with a longstanding dedication to Special Olympics, Leslie has an unwavering commitment to her community, championing numerous other campaigns and programs throughout her career. She has secured gifts from corporations, foundations, families, individuals and community members over the years and, most recently, was the Associate Vice Chancellor for Advancement and Interim Chancellor for Advancement at the University of Washington-Tacoma.

“It is a gift beyond measure when an unexpected door opens to reveal an even clearer path to our life’s purpose. Thank you to David Wu… and his amazing team, for this chance of a lifetime to make a decision of the heart blending experience, purpose and passion into the next leg of my career journey as VP of Development at SOWA,” Leslie said.

We look forward to the valuable knowledge, extensive experience and dedicated commitment to our mission that Leslie will bring to her role as Vice President of Development!
