The Law Enforcement Torch Run encompasses a variety of innovative fundraising platforms to include several signature events such as the Fun Run with the Cops and Polar Plunge series, in addition to Tip-A-Cop events.

Torch Run

The Law Enforcement Torch Run takes place before the Spring State Games (May/June) with Law Enforcement Officers running the torch across Washington State. It converges at Pacific Lutheran University to kick off the Special Olympics Washington State Spring Games.

The LETR invites participants from civic groups such as law enforcement, corrections, fire departments and military along with their families and friends to take part in the Final Leg!

The Annual Torch Statewide Torch run is the heart and soul of the Law Enforcement Torch Run Campaign. It is truly an incredible feat that not only helps to raise funds but awareness for Special Olympics Washington athletes and volunteers.

Run with the Cops

From donut eating contests to kids’ obstacle courses, Run with the Cops is jam-packed full of fun for the entire family. The events feature interactive law enforcement vehicle displays where participants and spectators can try on SWAT gear, meet K9 officers, tour a mobile command center and even sit in an armored vehicle.  Plus, officers may make you pass a boot camp warm-up session before you take off along the 5K route.
