What are the age requirements to volunteer with Special Olympics Washington?
Youth volunteers between ages 11 – 13 may volunteer with a parent or adult guardian. Teen volunteers between ages 14 – 17 may volunteer in select roles. Sky’s the limit for folks that are 18+!

What is the difference between a Class A and Class B volunteer?
Class A volunteers are typically in close contact with athletes and/or handle money (merchandise, fundraisers. These types of roles require background check as well as additional training. Class B volunteers do not require a background check, with some requiring additional training.
Does Special Olympics Washington verify volunteer hours?
