Event Volunteer Roles (Commitment: 1-2 days)
- Description: Provide support for Special Olympics Washington’s signature events and programs.
- Examples: Event set up at regional competition, scorekeeping at state competition, check-in table at health event, data entry at Unified Robotics championship
- Commitment: 1-2 days
Volunteer Leadership Roles (varies)
- Description: Work directly with our athletes and staff to execute local programming and competitions.
- Examples: Coach, Program Leadership, Games Management Team, Sports Resource Team, Athlete Leadership Council Advisor, etc.
- Commitment: Variable
Health Volunteer Roles (varies)
- Description: Provide long and short-term support of Special Olympics Washington’s health programs and Healthy Athletes screening events.
- Examples: Physical Therapists, Dentists, Audiologists, Optometrists, Podiatrists, Psychiatrists, Medical Doctors, Nurses, Dietitians, Health Care and Medical Students
- Commitment: Variable
Specialty Volunteer Roles (varies)
- Description: Provide a specialty service for a Special Olympics Washington event or major initiative.
- Examples: Event Security, Event Medical, Sport Official
- Commitment: Variable
