The holiday season is right around the corner, and we’re inviting all Special Olympics Washington athletes to get creative and help spread the festive cheer! We’re launching the 2024 Holiday Card Design Contest, giving athletes the chance to showcase their artistic talents by designing our official holiday card.
This is an exciting opportunity for athletes to express themselves and share the spirit of the holidays with the entire Special Olympics Washington community. Whether you love drawing classic holiday scenes, winter landscapes, or something completely unique, we want to see it!
Participating is easy! Athletes can submit their artwork in two ways:

Send your artwork to the Special Olympics Washington office:

Please include your full name, the sport you play, and your contact information. - By Email
Scan your artwork and send it to rhummer@sowa.org with the subject line “Holiday Card Design Submission”. Please include your full name, the sport you play, and your contact information.
Artwork Guidelines
- Your design should capture the holiday spirit! Whether it’s a cozy winter scene, festive decorations, or something from the heart, all creative ideas are welcome.
- Maximum size: 6×4 inches (landscape orientation).
- You can use any medium – painting, drawing, digital art, etc. – as long as the design is your original work.
All artwork must be submitted by November 12, 2024. Make sure to get your designs in on time!
Once all submissions are received, a panel will review the artwork, and the winning design will be used as Special Olympics Washington’s official 2024 holiday card! This card will be shared with the entire Special Olympics Washington community, spreading cheer and showcasing the creativity of our talented athletes.
