Winter Kick-Off Unified Basketball Jamboree
Calling all elementary-high school students with & without disabilities and staff in the Yakima Valley to attend the Unified Schools Winter Season Kick-Off & Unified Basketball Jamboree!
Kick-Off to the beginning of the Unified Basketball Season to bring interested elementary-high school students with and without intellectual disabilities together to play in a Special Olympics Unified Basketball Jamboree, while providing opportunities to learn about other Unified School activities to make your school Unified year round through sports, school-wide activities, and clubs! A Young Athletes Demonstration will be available for children ages 2-7.
Students will:
- Play in the Unified Basketball Jamboree and represent their school
- Learn about Unified Schools and how to start it at your school
- Interact with students from different schools
- Experience a Unified Cheer Demonstration
- Young Athletes Demonstration for ages 2-7
- Have fun and make new friends!
