Fit Feet offers podiatric screenings to evaluate ankles, feet, lower extremity biomechanics, and proper shoe and sock gear to athletes.

We need Volunteers! Clinical Volunteers can include podiatrists and clinical foot care specialists, or students in the field. Clinical volunteers will evaluate athletes’ ankles, feet, lower extremity biomechanics, and proper shoe and sock gear. Footwear Specialists must have experience with shoe sizing. Volunteers will assist with athlete screenings by measuring the athlete’s shoe size, evaluating the fit and condition of the athlete’s shoes and socks, and determining the appropriateness of the athlete’s footwear for a given sport. Healthy Athletes is a Special Olympics program that provides free health examinations in a fun, welcoming environment that removes the anxiety and trepidation people with intellectual disabilities often experience when faced with a visit to a medical professional. The Healthy Athletes screening is open to all Special Olympics athletes.
