Special Olympics Washington offers leadership trainings for athletes to develop their leadership skills and set personal leadership goals. Trainings will prepare athletes to take on meaningful leadership roles.

This course prepares athletes to be spokespeople for Special Olympics Washington. Athletes will prepare short speeches and have the opportunity to share their stories at the State Fall Games.

* Introduction to Athlete Leadership AND Understanding Leadership are required prerequisites for this course.

This course will be held in-person over two days before the 2022 State Fall Games in the Tri-Cities. Athletes competing in the State Fall Games will arrive early for the training and join their teams on Friday, November 18.

Arrival: Wednesday, November 16, evening

Training sessions: Thursday, November 17-18

Presentation of speech: Friday, November 18
