On June 16, something truly special happened at T-Mobile Park. As fans gathered to cheer on the Mariners, our Special Olympics Washington community came together to celebrate a huge milestone: 50 years of building a more inclusive world through sports.

This was our second Special Olympics Washington Night at the Mariners; and it was truly one for the books. With our 50th anniversary in full swing, the energy in the stadium was electric. From the first pitch to the final out, the evening was packed with moments that reminded us just how powerful a community can be when it comes together in support of inclusion.

The Mariners helped shine a spotlight on our athletes and mission in the best way possible. A heartfelt tribute played on the big screen, highlighting five decades of courage, joy, and teamwork. When the crowd erupted in applause afterward, you could feel the emotion running through the ballpark. It was a moment our athletes and supporters won’t forget anytime soon.

Being recognized in a venue such as T-Mobile Park, surrounded by thousands of cheering fans, was nothing short of remarkable. For many of our athletes, it was a dream come true. This night wasn’t just about baseball; it was about being seen, celebrated, and supported.

We’re so grateful to the Seattle Mariners for their continued partnership and for giving us this meaningful platform. Their support helps raise awareness and reminds everyone that inclusion belongs everywhere, even in the big leagues.

We also want to give a huge shoutout to our amazing volunteers, donors, and fans who showed up in full force. The warmth and excitement you brought helped create a space where everyone felt valued and celebrated.

If you missed the game, don’t worry. There are so many ways to be part of this movement.Whether you volunteer at an event, make a donation, or simply spread the word, you’re helping us write the next chapter of this incredible story.

Here’s to 50 years, and many more memories to come.
