Some days are about more than the final score, and July 11 at Cheney Stadium was one of them.

Special Olympics Washington athletes Andrew and Todd had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Seattle All-Star Classic Celebrity Softball Game, joining an exciting lineup of professional athletes, celebrities, and community leaders for a day filled with baseball, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

From stepping onto the field to meeting fellow participants and fans, Andrew and Todd experienced what makes sports so powerful: bringing people together through teamwork, respect, and inclusion.

The Seattle All-Star Classic is known for creating a fun, family-friendly atmosphere while giving back to the community, and this year’s event was no exception. Our athletes proudly represented Special Olympics Washington, showing the confidence, determination, and joy that define our movement.

Opportunities like this remind us that inclusion doesn’t stop at competition. Whether it’s competing in Special Olympics, taking the field with celebrity athletes, or simply sharing the game with thousands of fans, every experience helps build stronger communities where everyone belongs.

A heartfelt thank you to the Seattle All-Star Classic for inviting Special Olympics Washington to be part of such an incredible event and for creating meaningful opportunities for our athletes. We are also grateful to everyone who attended, cheered from the stands, and supported our mission throughout the day.
