Still smiling after an incredible night with the @ Still smiling after an incredible night with the @SeattleStorm! We shared some of our favorite moments from Celebrating All Abilities Night earlier this week, but we have even more to celebrate. During the game, @usbank and @premera presented Special Olympics Washington with a joint $20,000 contribution to support our athletes and programs across the state! We are incredibly grateful for their continued commitment to inclusion and creating opportunities for people of all abilities. The night was also extra special as members of our Special Olympics USA Games delegation and other Special Olympics Washington athletes were recognized in front of a packed Climate Pledge Arena and felt the love from Storm fans throughout the building. ❤️ A huge thank you to U.S. Bank, Premera Blue Cross, and the Seattle Storm for helping make this such a memorable celebration of inclusion, community, and the power of sport. A huge thank you to the Seattle Storm, our athletes, Unified partners, families, volunteers, and supporters for making the night so special. Until next year!
East Region Competition Update Due to ongoing cha East Region Competition Update Due to ongoing challenging conditions across Eastern Washington, Special Olympics Washington has made the difficult decision to cancel the East Region Softball Competition scheduled for Saturday, August 15 in the Tri-Cities. After connecting with our East Region programs and carefully considering the well-being of our athletes, coaches, volunteers, families, and supporters, we believe this is the right decision for our community at this time. We know this is disappointing, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding as communities across Eastern Washington continue to navigate these difficult circumstances. At this time, the following East Region competitions are still scheduled to take place: 🥎 August 22: East Region Bocce — Moses Lake ⛳ August 23: East Region Golf — The Plains Golf Course in Cheney We will continue to share updates if anything changes. Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and continued support of our athletes and communities across Eastern Washington.
