Please join us in welcoming Sheila Masaoka to Spec Please join us in welcoming Sheila Masaoka to Special Olympics Washington as our new Director of Strategic Corporate Partnerships! Sheila brings a deep connection to the disability community and a background in building creative, mission-driven partnerships. Most recently, Sheila worked with the Katie Dolan Houlahan Foundation, where she helped identify strategic partnerships and grow support for the organization’s mission. Her work included partnering with Twin Matrix Technologies to help redesign VR technology with more accessible features for people on the autism spectrum. Sheila also previously led #nightmotherontwitch, an international suicide prevention campaign that brought together nonprofit partners and resources to expand access to mental health support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Outside of work, Sheila is a passionate hobbyist bodybuilder, a new mom, and a big fan of a good bowl of noodles. 🍜 We’re excited to have Sheila on the team and can’t wait to see the partnerships and opportunities she helps build for Special Olympics Washington athletes across the state!

The 4th Annual Kelley Create Golf Tournament was o The 4th Annual Kelley Create Golf Tournament was one for the books! On Monday, August 10, golfers hit the course, brought the fun, and helped raise an AMAZING $154,000 for Special Olympics Washington! That’s a whole lot of golf, generosity, and impact packed into one incredible day! A HUGE shoutout to our friends at @KelleyCreate for continuing to go all-in for our athletes and our mission year after year. And of course, thank you to every golfer, sponsor, donor, volunteer, and supporter who showed up, swung big, and helped make this event such a success! See you on the green next year!

Still smiling after an incredible night with the @ Still smiling after an incredible night with the @SeattleStorm! We shared some of our favorite moments from Celebrating All Abilities Night earlier this week, but we have even more to celebrate. During the game, @usbank and @premera presented Special Olympics Washington with a joint $20,000 contribution to support our athletes and programs across the state! We are incredibly grateful for their continued commitment to inclusion and creating opportunities for people of all abilities. The night was also extra special as members of our Special Olympics USA Games delegation and other Special Olympics Washington athletes were recognized in front of a packed Climate Pledge Arena and felt the love from Storm fans throughout the building. ❤️ A huge thank you to U.S. Bank, Premera Blue Cross, and the Seattle Storm for helping make this such a memorable celebration of inclusion, community, and the power of sport.
