One of the most powerful parts of Unified Champion Schools is seeing students lead the way. This year, schools recognized student leaders who have championed inclusion, encouraged participation, and helped create meaningful opportunities for their peers.

Today, we're celebrating the students whose leadership is helping build a more inclusive future:

⭐ Sofia Ahlers (Prairie HS) – Recognized as an essential part of Unified Sports and Unified Club throughout all four years of high school, demonstrating what social inclusion truly means.
⭐ Alexa Marcelo (Western Washington University Unified Club President) – Described as "an amazing human doing great things" through her leadership and advocacy.
⭐ AJ Easley – Celebrated for leading advertising, web design, and promotional efforts that helped elevate Unified opportunities.
⭐ Abigail Staley – A student teacher who stepped up to support Track & Field and created meaningful experiences for athletes.
⭐ Statewide Youth Leaders – A special shoutout to all students who continue to advocate for inclusion, welcome peers, and lead by example in their schools and communities.

Your leadership is helping shape a more inclusive future.
