Thank you for your interest in joining the movement, alongside athlete leaders! There are a variety of ways you can get involved with Athlete Leadership whether you are an athlete or not.
Mentors support athletes one one one in a variety of ways based on individual needs and requests. They attend workshops with athletes, help them develop skills, provide transportation, and more.
Get Trained to be a Mentor
- Athlete Input Council (AIC) Facilitators
AIC Facilitators organize and encourage participation on Area Athlete Input Councils where athletes can freely share their ideas and suggestions for improvements.
- Athlete Leadership Liaisons
Liaisons serve on their Area Leadership Teams and ensure that athlete leadership initiatives are engrained within the Area. Liaisons develop Athlete Input Councils (they can facilitate these themselves or find another volunteer to do so), deliver trainings using the provided workshop materials, recruit Mentors, and ensure athletes have access to leadership and volunteer opportunities in all Area events and competitions.
